About This Test

A reaction time test measures how quickly you respond to a visual stimulus: watch the screen, and the instant the red square turns green, click anywhere. The time between the color change and your click — measured in milliseconds — is your reaction time.

This tool averages 5 rounds by default (10/15/20 optional) to filter out flukes and reflect your true speed. Timing uses the browser's high-precision timer, accurate to the millisecond. Gamers, athletes and casual users alike can use it to assess and train their reactions.

Clicking before the square turns green counts as a false start and restarts that round — this keeps results honest. Your final score can enter the global Top 100 leaderboard.

How It Works

01Click the test area to begin — the red square turns green at a random moment within 1–4 seconds
02The instant it turns green, click anywhere on the screen (or press the space bar)
03Clicking while still red is a false start — that round restarts automatically
045 clicks by default, averaged into your final score (10/15/20 optional)
05Use a mouse and test when fresh for the most accurate result
